Point Cook 3030
Point Cook sits in the City of Wyndham about twenty-three kilometres southwest of the CBD. It is one of the fastest-growing residential suburbs in Australia, almost entirely composed of estates handed over since the early 2000s.
The housing is uniform enough that a Point Cook fit-out has a recognisable shape: roller blockouts in every bedroom, an S-fold sheer plus blockout combination across the open-plan living, and either solar film or bronze tint on the west-facing glazing.
We do a lot of full-home packages here for owners moving in within the week, plus regular trade work with the builders operating across the estates.

Our services
What we install in Point Cook
Recent Point Cook jobs have included a complete handover fit-out for a new five-bedroom build in the Featherbrook estate (rollers in every bedroom, S-fold sheers across the rear glazing, motorised rollers on the void window above the entry), a layered sheer-plus-blockout combination across the open-plan of a Sanctuary Lakes home, and a builder package across two display homes for a Wyndham developer.
We also do regular tinting on the west elevations of older Saltwater Coast homes where the original sun load was underestimated at handover.

Local knowledge
Point Cook up close
Point Cook housing stock
Point Cook is dominated by single and double-storey new estate homes built since the early 2000s across the Sanctuary Lakes, Saltwater Coast, Featherbrook and Stockland Boardwalk estates.
Lot sizes are smaller than the older outer western suburbs but the homes are larger, with most builds running to four bedrooms, two living areas, and a large open-plan kitchen-dining-living space at the rear opening to a small landscaped backyard.
Window-wise this means standard rectangular windows in the bedrooms, large picture windows or stacker doors across the rear, and floor-to-ceiling void windows above any double-height entry.
Aluminium black framing is the dominant glazing finish across the newer estates, which steers fabric choices toward neutrals rather than pure whites that go yellow next to black aluminium.
A small pocket of larger waterfront and golf-course-fronting homes runs through Sanctuary Lakes.
Sun and climate
Point Cook gets the full western Melbourne summer. North and west glazing on the Boardwalk side runs hot through January and February for most of the afternoon.
Most homes were built to current energy code so glazing is double-glazed or low-E coated, which helps thermally but does nothing for glare or UV.
Residential lots are tight enough that privacy is a real factor, particularly on the side elevations where neighbouring two-storey builds sit close.
Through winter the same glass that overheats in summer becomes a heat-loss path at night because the outer surface drops below dew point and wicks warmth out of the room.
Wind exposure is moderate; not as strong as Werribee or Tarneit, but stronger than the bayside suburbs to the east.
What works in Point Cook
The Point Cook default for an open-plan living is a double-track combination: an S-fold sheer in oat or off-white at the front for daytime light and privacy, plus a blockout roller or blockout curtain on a parallel track behind that pulls across at night.
This handles the west sun without darkening the room during the day and gives the deep block needed for a TV-watching room at night.
For bedrooms, blockout rollers are the default, with day-night double rollers an option for the kids' rooms where parents want some daytime light without losing the option of full block.
Plantation shutters work in the few traditional builds in Sanctuary Lakes but read out of place against the dominant black-aluminium contemporary frontage.
For homes with double-height void windows above the entry, we usually install motorised rollers because manual operation at four metres above floor level is impractical.

Common questions in Point Cook
Yes, this is the most common Point Cook job. Once we measure and you approve the quote, lead times run two to three weeks for blinds, three to four for curtains, and same-week for tint. If you give us your handover date at the measure we will work backwards to make the install land cleanly inside it.
Yes. We use a telescopic platform ladder for windows up to four metres and can organise scaffold or scissor lift for anything taller. Motorised rollers are the practical choice at that height because manual chain operation is awkward.
Either works. We can coordinate with your site supervisor directly if you provide their contact, or we can deal entirely with you. Most owners prefer to keep us in their own loop because it gives them more control over the install date.
Yes. Builders running multiple builds a year in the Wyndham growth corridor get reduced labour rates on rollers and tint. Volume of work and consistency on the same window types lets us price more sharply.
Solar film on the glass plus a sunscreen roller behind it is the typical combination for a pool-facing wall. Solar film blocks the heat and UV; the sunscreen handles glare during peak sun and gives privacy when neighbours can see in.
